FOOD BANK MINISTRY

At Whitwell Church of God, our Food Bank Ministry is a hands-on way of living out the love of Christ. We believe no one in our community should go hungry, and through this ministry we provide groceries, encouragement, and prayer to individuals and families in need. Every box of food is more than physical nourishment — it’s an expression of God’s care and compassion.

Meeting Practical Needs

The Food Bank is stocked and supported by the generosity of our church family and community partners. From canned goods to fresh items, we strive to provide balanced, helpful supplies for those facing difficult seasons. Our volunteers work diligently to organize, prepare, and distribute these resources with kindness and respect.

More Than a Handout

While food is essential, our mission goes deeper. Each interaction is a chance to offer encouragement, pray with those who desire it, and remind people that they are not alone. The Food Bank is a ministry of both provision and presence — a way of pointing hearts toward the hope found in Jesus.

Serving Together

The Food Bank provides an opportunity for the entire church family to serve. Whether donating items, packing boxes, greeting guests, or carrying groceries to cars, every role matters. It’s a ministry where children, youth, and adults can come together to make a lasting impact.

How You Can Help

This ministry thrives through prayer, donations, and volunteers. If you feel led to get involved — by giving food, financial support, or your time — we welcome your partnership. Together, we can continue to meet the needs of our neighbors and share God’s love in practical ways.
