MEET OUR PASTORS
JIM AND LANELLE MULKEY
Pastors Jim and Lanelle Mulkey have faithfully served as the lead pastors of Whitwell Church of God since March 2020. With a heart for people and a passion for ministry, they bring decades of experience and spiritual leadership to our congregation. Their ministry journey began together in 1987, when they first answered the call to serve as volunteers.
Over the years, their commitment to ministry deepened, and in 2004, they stepped into full-time pastoral ministry. Since then, they have shepherded churches with dedication, love, and a sincere desire to see lives transformed through the power of the Gospel.
The Mulkeys have ministered throughout Tennessee since 1999, and both are proud graduates of Lee University in Cleveland, TN. Pastor Jim also holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from the Pentecostal Theological Seminary, equipping him with unique insight and compassion for guiding others through life’s challenges. He is an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God, and Pastor Lanelle is an Ordained Minister.
Known for his love of preaching and personal connection with the church family, Pastor Jim leads with both conviction and kindness. Lanelle brings warmth and wisdom to her role, not only in ministry but also in the classroom. She serves as a Business teacher at Sequatchie County High School, where she inspires and mentors young people each day.
Together, Pastors Jim and Lanelle embody servant leadership and continue to pour their lives into the church and community. Their vision is simple: to see God glorified, lives changed, and people growing in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
